Game Rules

 

 

TWO 15-MINUTES HALVE STOP CLOCK

  1. TWO 1-MINTUE TIME-OUTS PER GAME
  2. THREE MINTUE HALF-TIME
  3. TEAMS MUST BE READY TO BEGIN PLAY AT THE SCHEDULED TIME OR A FORFEIT WILL RESULT
  4. FIVE MINTUE WARM-UP
  5. ONLY ONE COACH AT A TIME STANDING DURING THE GAME
  6. FOULS: TEAM FOULS 10 RESULTS IN A 1-AND-ONE SITUATION (PER HALF)
  1. SCORES TIED AFTER REGULATION WILL RESULT IN THREE-MINTUE OVERTIME

PERIODS UNTIL THE TIE IS BROKEN

  1. EXCEPT FOR THE EXCEPTIONS, ALL OFFICIAL HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL RULES WILL BE USED.

12. Tie Breaker & Wildcard -- The following "tie breaker" shall be used for this tournament:  

            1) won-lost record;

            2)  Head-to-head competition;

3)  point system (+15 / -15).  (Note -- Regardless of the point difference, "winning margin", no team will receive more than a plus "15" or a minus "15" for point differential.  For example, if team "A" wins by 20 points, team "A" will receive a +15 for that game.) 

             4)  Least amount of points allowed in pool games; 

             5)  Coin flip

  • NOTE -- If three (3) or more teams are tied within the same pool, then the "point system" becomes the next tie breaker. 
  • Championship Round -- -- For purposes of the Championship Round, ALL TEAMS WILL advance out of each pool.  During the Championship Round, this will be a single elimination round.

EACH TEAM IS TO PROVIDE A REPRESENTATIVE TO ASSIST IN KEEPING THE SCOREBOOK OR RUNNING THE GAME CLOCK. THIS MUST BE AN ADULT WHO WILL CONDUCT THEMSELVES IN A PROFFESIONAL MANNER .

 

NO PROTEST WILL BE ALLOWED. ALL DECISIONS MADE BY THE REFEREES AND THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR ARE FINAL.
